The Sixth Annual Leadership Conference of Special Interest Division 4: Fluency and Fluency Disorders, The Creative Process in the Treatment of Stuttering, will be held June 2 through June 5, 1999. This conference will be at the Hyatt Islandia in San Diego, CA. The purpose of this meeting is to explore the creative process in the treatment of stuttering. While recognizing that treatment includes both science and art, the focus of this conference will be on the art of treatment. Featured presenters include David Daly, Ellen Bennett, Vivian Sheehan, Vivian Sisskin, Phil Schneider, and Janis Ingham. Following presentations, conferees will explore specific application of the creative process to clinician characteristics, as well as treatment rationale and techniques. Questions and issues that may be discussed include:
