The International Stuttering Awareness Day (ISAD) online conferences began in 1998 with the inauguration of ISAD, a celebration to facilitate collaboration between professionals and consumers to share, give support, and educate one another and the general public on the impact that stuttering has on individuals’ lives. The ISAD online conferences, open each year October 12–2, feature invited papers with threaded discussions attached where the presenters and participants can interact. All past conferences and threaded discussions are permanently archived. Each conference has been freely available to anyone with Internet access and also available for 15 hours of continuing education or one college credit.
