As part of the process of developing and validating the exam for specialty recognition, members of the initial cadre of individuals with specialty recognition in fluency disorders are invited to take a draft or pilot version of the specialty recognition exam. Beginning in mid-2002, the final version of this exam will be administered to future applicants for specialty recognition. The pilot version of this exam will be held just prior to the start of the May 2001 Division 4 Leadership Conference and administered at two 2-hour “sittings,” from 3–5 p.m. and 5–7 p.m. Eastern Time, Wednesday, May 16, 2001 at the Toronto Colony Hotel, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
